Photographer Q & A :: Knoxville Photographer

Wow!  Okay, I have to get on a better blogging schedule.  Sheesh- it’s been forever!!!

A couple of weeks ago I had a photographer friend ask me about clients using my images as a facebook profile picture, but cropping my logo out.  Here is her question and my answer to her::

Hey Jennifer!  What do you tell clients who use your images as profile pictures for Facebook, but either don’t credit you as the photographer or crop your image to take your watermark out?  - Alex F.

Hi Alex!  Honestly, I don’t say anything.  I know at first I asked that my clients not crop the image in any fashion, but it seemed mean-spirited, so I stopped.  I believe that my clients are not trying to go out and hurt me in any way.  Besides, I’m sure if someone were to ask who took the photo, they would happily tell them my name.  I would rather my clients use my images as their profile picture than not because I made a big deal about them cropping my logo out – that’s just good marketing in my book!  :)

I hope this helps you if you are struggling with this same issue.  I truly feel that it really is a non issue for my business.  My heart smiles when I see my images used as profile pictures, with or without my logo attached.

And for those waiting on a sneak from what I’ve been so busily up to lately::

Stephanie & Cody’s Disney Inspired Wedding :: Knoxville Wedding Photographer

Since the first time that I met this couple, I adored them. Loving, laid back, and super genuine are the top 3 things that come to mind when I think about Stephanie and Cody. Their approach to their wedding day was such a breath of fresh air. The love that they have for each other, and the love that they have for their friends and family radiated the entire day. And while the day was about them, they were both so grateful for every person who attended their lovely wedding hugging every neck along the way. I have so enjoyed (and feel very honored!) being a part of their lives the past few months, and think of them as sweet friends. Much love to you both!!!!

The reception area at the Orangery was beautiful!!!

I haven’t done many black and whites recently, but something about this wedding just screamed “put me in black & white!!!” Of course, I obliged.;)

If this picture doesn’t make you tear up, then you have a stone cold heart. Love this!!!

This is exactly what everyone was doing during the dances. Haha!!!

Stephanie – you’re gorgeous!!!

The next few images were taken by my assistant photographer, Carrie. Give her some props!!!

Of course she caught me fluffing Stephanie’s dress. Haha!!

This angle of the sister shot = perfection!!!

Thank you, Carrie, for all you did on Stephanie and Cody’s day!!!
