Brenda & Christian :: Knoxville Engagement Photographer

What a rainy day – ick!  I hope everyone is ready for Cyber Monday and all of that good stuff!  I was supposed to complete an order from Amazon for a movie Sean wants, and completely forgot….  so I’ll be completing that order plus other lovely Christmas gifts today – haha!!!  Sorry honey!

Since it is so icky outside, I wanted to share with you a sweet engagement session that I did for Brenda and Christian.  I’m so excited for their August wedding – the details, the location, the couple are all to die for.  I cannot wait for my 2012 brides – all of them are amazing!!!

Ahhmazing light!!!  Love evening e-sessions!

Brenda – you are soooo pretty!  And I loved your dress.. and who am I kidding – THOSE SHOES!

So.. this typically isn’t my style, but I L-O-V-E it!!

Brenda and Christian showed me this little nugget of a location.

Hot!!!

A week later we met back up to do the rest of their engagement session inside of Neyland Stadium.  I went a little crazy snapping away.

Fave.

This series = the chest bump.  Ha!

Just a little fun to be inside the stadium alone.  Just a little.

This series = the tackle.

As soon as I heard that we were going to the stadium for our session I had this vision of them running through a “T” BUT since there wasn’t really a “T” the next best thing was running through a banner..  Yeah.. that is coming up.;)

Christian’s family was down from New Jersey.. so of course I had to include them in a shot or two.

So. Much. Fun!!!

End of the Season Madness :: Knoxville Couples Photographer

It’s enough to make a girl’s head hurt (or completely knock her out in sickness!)  My brain is being pulled into every direction and just won’t stop.  Since going back to a full-time job I’ve been running and gunning it since July.  I may have had a day or two completely off from working, but other than that the past 4 months have passed in a blur like you would see in an episode of Star Trek — you know when the ship goes into warp mode or whatever you call it.  Even this past week when I was bedridden sick I couldn’t stop.  Clothed in the comfiest of pj’s, under warm covers, sipping orange Gatorade, I was thinking about the next steps of my business.  Mainly marketing and differentiation.

With every click on Facebook, Twitter, and other photographer’s blogs I feel I’m in a never ending rat race and so very behind.  What can I do to keep up?  How long will it take me to update my site again?  How many wedding commissions should I take next year?  Is it time to change my business model to a more specific niche?  Can you hear me screaming through your computer screen?  Thought so.

I love my business with every inch of my soul.  I love it because it is “me.”  I am what makes my business different.  My humor, my insecurities, my confidence, all the way down to my mismatched painted toe nails – that’s what makes my business me.  I have a story to tell.  Sometimes it’s mine, sometimes it’s yours.  Sometimes it’s sad, but most times happy.  Either way I’m blessed to have a voice in order to tell it.

Luckily – the end of this story has a happy ending.  A sweet couples session.:) Meet the Reagans!
